Job Title: Groundworker / Labourer
Location: Wickford, SS12 9EJ
Pay Rate: £12.50–£13.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Job Type: Temporary (with potential for permanent placement)

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundworker / Labourer to join our team temporarily, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate. Based in Wickford, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality groundwork services to clients across the local area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out a variety of groundwork activities including hand excavation, concreting, and basic joinery

• Operating and maintaining equipment and power tools safely

• Conducting daily maintenance and safety checks on all tools and machinery

• Working collaboratively as part of a busy, efficient team

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

• Providing a high standard of service across all tasks

Requirements:

• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential

• Valid CSCS card required

• Previous experience in a similar labouring or groundwork role is essential

• Additional tickets (e.g., CPCS, NPORS) are desirable

• A safety-first mindset and willingness to adhere to strict site safety procedures

• Open to training and learning new skills

• Experience using hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively
