Fitter/Mechanic – Grounds Maintenance Equipment

💰 Salary: £32,000 per annum (DOE – flexibility available for the right candidate)
📄 Contract Type: Permanent
🕒 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Fitter/Mechanic to join our team based in Cheam. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of grounds maintenance equipment. Your work will be essential in keeping our machinery running smoothly and efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for our operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in mechanical maintenance who takes pride in their work and enjoys working in a more relaxed and supportive environment—away from the fast-paced pressure of a commercial garage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs on a variety of grounds maintenance machinery and equipment

• Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently, safely, and in line with company standards

• Work independently and as part of a team to manage maintenance schedules and urgent repairs

• Keep accurate maintenance records and report any recurring issues

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong mechanical skills with a solid understanding of machinery and vehicle systems

• Experience in maintaining and servicing grounds maintenance equipment is highly desirable

• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities

• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Full UK driving license is essential

Ideal Candidate:
